To our Generous Donors, Partners, and Friends,

Peace.

It has been more than two months since we experienced the impact of the corona virus pandemic in our country.  We had to go through different sorts of quarantine and lock down in an effort to contain the virus which has affected many.  We had seen our health care workers going out of their way to care for the afflicted even to the point of losing their lives.  We have experienced the impact of the virus especially to the poor and vulnerable. Although the virus and its effects can be daunting, what has been and still is overwhelming is the sensitivity and generosity of many people to help those affected and afflicted.

Here in the prison ministry, we have been experienced God’s constant love and providence.  We have observed how the prison community:  persons deprived of liberty, their families and the front liners, have been cared for by our Loving God.  And we have you our dear people of God to thank for being instruments of His love and mercy. In the first month, donations came.  After another month, donations still kept on coming and the generosity of people continued.  THANK YOU. Please know that your sensitivity and generosity have impacted lives.

Herewith are our fifth report: (1) how much we have received in the form of cash and in-kind donations and (2) an update on what has been donated to our beneficiaries.

To end, allow me to share with you the blessing as found in the book of Numbers (6:24-26): “The Lord bless you and keep you.  The Lord make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you. The Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace.”

Very Truly Yours,

FR. ELI ROWDY LUMBO, SJ
