About the event
Lent is a new beginning, a path leading to the essence of Easter, Christ's victory over death.
In this season of Lent, the Philippine Jesuit Prison Service Foundation, Inc. (PJPSFI) is pleased to invite you to the Lenten Recollection for Partners in Ministry, with Fr. Manuel "Manoling" SV Francisco, SJ.
Fr. Manoling, as he is fondly called, presently serves as Assistant Professor of Systematic Theology at the Ateneo de Manila University. He is known as a liturgical composer, mentor and advocate for music ministers and composers throughout the Philippines. He is the co-founder of the well-known ensemble, Bukas Palad Music Ministry and was the music director for the liturgies at World Youth Day in 1995. He is very involved in the tremendous work of the Jesuit Music Ministry in the Philippines, and has composed over 150 songs that are sung all over the world, wherever Filipinos gather for worship.
