Every story of hope begins with people who believe that transformation is possible.

On June 11 to 12, 2026, the Philippine Jesuit Prison Service Foundation, Inc. gathered dedicated staff, volunteers, and representatives from the Ateneo network at the House of Tita Mariel in Wack Wack, Mandaluyong City, for the Scholarship Module Writing Workshop FY 2026 to 2027 with the inspiring theme, Shining with Faith, Hope, and Love.
For two meaningful days, sixteen participants came together with one shared purpose: to create learning modules that will accompany PJPS scholars and their families on their journey of healing, growth, and hope.

Our scholars are children of Persons Deprived of Liberty. While many see only the challenges they face, PJPS continues to see their immense potential. Education opens doors, but true formation also nurtures the heart, strengthens the spirit, and restores hope. This workshop was an opportunity to carefully craft psycho spiritual formation sessions that will help our scholars, together with their parents and guardians, grow in faith, resilience, and holistic healing.
The workshop was divided into five meaningful modules, each reflecting an important stage of personal and spiritual growth.
GTNY: Kumusta Ka? Pagharap sa Bagong Simula invites participants to embrace new beginnings with courage and openness.
Bituing Nagniningning: Discovering My Purpose Given My Giftedness and Gratitude encourages every scholar to recognize their unique gifts and discover the purpose that God has lovingly prepared for them.
Pagiging Bukas at Pagpapatawad focuses on healing through openness, acceptance, and forgiveness.
Simulang Muli: Paghahanda sa Paglaya prepares families for reintegration by fostering hope and readiness for a new chapter.
Finally, Nobody is Too Poor Not to Give reminds us that every person has something valuable to offer. Service, compassion, and generosity are not measured by wealth but by the willingness to love and serve others.

These modules are more than lessons on paper. They are seeds of hope that will one day blossom in the lives of our scholars and their families. Every discussion, every shared insight, and every carefully chosen word reflected the commitment of our team to accompany each child with dignity, compassion, and faith.

This meaningful workshop brought together Fr. Erwin Arandia, SJ, Philip T. Gan, Jesusa Ramos, Fresco Pequit, Oline Bernardo, Oseng Bernardo, Darleen Undag from Ateneo de Davao, Pranciss Duya from Ateneo de Iloilo, Shayne Ty Bonavente from Ateneo de Naga, Kevin Roy Jimena from Ateneo de Zamboanga, Elyn Inocencio Aracid, Mennen Aracid, Milagros Rivera, Veronica Geronimo Gargaritano, and Dickel Dagoc. Their generosity of time, talent, and hearts reminds us that lasting change is always built through collaboration.
As we continue our mission of accompanying children of Persons Deprived of Liberty, we are reminded that every act of service creates opportunities for healing, education, and transformation. Behind every module written today is the hope that tomorrow, a child will discover confidence, purpose, and a future filled with possibilities.

Thank you to every volunteer, staff member, and partner who continues to believe that hope can be taught, nurtured, and shared.
Together, we continue to shine with faith, hope, and love.
