On February 15, 2026, the Philippine Jesuit Prison Service Foundation, Inc. (PJPS) conducted a Dental Mission at the New Bilibid Prison – Reception and Diagnostic Center (RDC), bringing much-needed dental care to newly committed Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs).

Access to proper dental services remains a significant need inside correctional facilities. Through this mission, several PDLs received consultations and dental procedures, helping address both pain management and preventive care. More than treatment, the day was an affirmation of dignity. A reminder that every person deserves care and compassion.
We are deeply grateful to Rev. Fr. Salvador Marcaida, MSP, who generously offered his expertise and time to serve as the mission dentist. His presence reflected the Church’s healing ministry in action.
The mission was strengthened by the support of the Mission Society of the Philippines (MSP) seminarians: Frt. Brent Joshua Generoso, MSP; Frt. Reniel Bautista, MSP; Frt. Rodel Navarez; and Frt. Hernand Jake Villagracia, whose assistance ensured that the day’s operations ran smoothly and efficiently.

We also thank our PJPS volunteer for this year from San Jose Seminary, Myke Ian Hechanova, for his steady and generous service throughout the mission. His presence, alongside our partners, reflects the spirit of accompaniment that defines our prison ministry.
This Dental Mission is part of PJPS’ continuing commitment to holistic care, addressing not only spiritual and psychosocial needs, but also physical well-being. Healing, after all, is integral to restoration.

Ad Majorem Dei Gloriam.
